LUDISOM: « Go to sleep, teenagers! Gamification of a digital learning environment for a sleep education program »

Summary

More than one French person out of three would present sleep difficulties while the lack of sleep increases the risk of mortality and favors, among others, obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Although awareness and education programs on sleep in kindergarten and primary school are beginning to develop in France, there is currently no intervention on sleep targeted at secondary school students. This project aims to propose a digital learning environment for adolescents aged 12 to 15 years old in order to induce sleep-friendly behaviors through a motivational gamification technique. The role of LIRIS is to identify the motivational levers that can induce these behavioral changes and to analyze the factors influencing the impact of the gamified learning environment.
